Date Calculations

Date Calculator

You can determine the number of days between two dates, or calculate dates by adding or subtracting years, months, weeks, or days from a specified date.

Years, months, weeks, and days can be specified in combination. For calculations that span the end of a month, the date is adjusted to the last day of the following month.

What is the Date Calculation Tool?

The Date Calculator is a free online tool that allows you to calculate the time between two dates and move forward or backward a specified period from a reference date. It can be used to check delivery dates, contract periods, travel itineraries, the number of days until an event, application deadlines, and more.

When calculating date differences, in addition to the period in calendar years, months, and days, the total number of days, total number of weeks, and the number of weekdays (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) are displayed. If you select “Include end date in count,” both the start date and end date are counted as one day each.

When adding or subtracting time, you can specify a combination of years, months, weeks, and days. If the target date does not contain the same day as the source date (e.g., adding one month to January 31), the date will be adjusted to the last day of that month. All calculations are performed within the browser.

  • When adding or subtracting on a monthly basis, if the target month does not have the same date, use the last day of the month.
  • Legal and contractual deadlines may have their own specific rules regarding the start and end dates. Please verify important deadlines with the relevant authorities or by reviewing the terms of the contract.
